The TD-24G-A-002 microwave sensing module can be used to detect targets with motion speeds in the range of 0.2 km/h to 至 22 km/h, to detect motion targets, to detect distances ranging from 0.1 m to 25 m, and to customize the range of measurements according to customer needs, with an accuracy of up to 0.5 m.

When the shell is made of plastic materials (ABS, PVC, etc.), the thickness and space of the shell must be correctly estimated, and the antenna must be wrapped in a way that does not directly contact the radar antenna structure;

When using foam materials (such as Stypopor or similar materials) for the shell, ensure that the relative dielectric constant of the material is close to 1

Wrong way

Wrap the antenna with metal foil or some metal parts;

Spray the antenna structure with any kind of paint or varnish;

Wrap the antenna with CFK sheet (conductive);

The plastic material is in direct contact with the corroded antenna structure (has a higher dielectric constant effect on the resonant frequency of the patch). Recommended shell size

For the 24GHz radar, based on experience, the shell can be made of plastic material with a thickness of about 3mm and keep a distance of about 6mm from the surface of the radar antenna.

If a thicker plastic material is used, the increase in insertion loss must be considered; at the same time, an overly thick shell may affect the antenna pattern.

When it is necessary to potting the microwave induction module PCBA, as shown by the red arrow in the figure below, the width of the step where the PCBA is stuck on the inner wall of the shell should be between 2.5mm and 3mm to prevent the glue from leaking from the bottom of the PCBA during potting, and the shell should It can be placed steadily and is convenient for mass production of glue. The screw holes are of appropriate size and not easy to slip.
